My bold but relaxed schemes create unique spaces by using clever colour palettes, a mix of styles, and finishing touches inspired by your story. I love to combine contemporary design with vintage pieces, mixing old with new to add character and warmth to a room.

I believe in affordable, accessible interior design. Everyone should have a beautiful home they can enjoy, whatever their budget or space. You might not have worked with a designer before but great interior design can be the difference between an ‘ok’ room and an amazing one, for a relatively low cost. From high end shops to high street stores and vintage pop-ups, I know where to source fantastic products for all styles and budgets. I can help your home reach its full potential while making your money go further.

I work closely with you to understand your style and personality while focusing on what you need from the space. Through clever space planning, I can help make your home more functional so that it works better for your lifestyle, changing the way you and your family use it so that you can enjoy it together.

No Space Like Home is based in Halifax, West Yorkshire and I offer an on-site service in surrounding areas, including Leeds and Manchester. I also provide online interior design services for those who live further afield. My packages are flexible to suit your project, space and budget - from help with initial ideas to help you get started to project support services, I can be involved as little or as much as you need. Clare’s story:

“Growing up in an Edwardian home on the North Wales coast with my art teacher mum and DIY obsessed dad, creative inspiration was never far away.

After graduating with an English degree, I spent over 10 years working in project management but my passion for interior design always shone through. I spent my 20s renovating properties with my husband Oliver, but it wasn’t until we bought our dream home – and I completed a diploma in Professional Interior Design through the National Design Academy – that I decided to pursue it as a career.

While also bringing up our three boys, Oliver and I spent over three years transforming our period house (which also happens to be Edwardian!) into a colourful, unique, relaxing home perfect for our family. We were thrilled to win Period Living magazine’s Best Interior Style award, which celebrates the way the colours, patterns, furniture and furnishings in a space all come together.

I love working on different kinds of projects, from Georgian cottages to new builds. Many clients have invited me back to help them with other rooms or have recommended me to their friends. I’m really proud and grateful to have received the Best of Houzz Customer Service award for three years running. This award is extra special because it’s based on reviews from my lovely clients.

I create eclectic, individual spaces with wow factor and I’d love to help you transform your home!”
